Trinity in Ministry: An Introduction

Sundays:
Holy Eucharist: 8:00 and 10:00 AM

The 8:00 AM liturgy (in Christ Chapel) is quiet and abbreviated, with less hymnody and music.

The 10:00 AM liturgy (in the nave of the church) offers the complete order of Holy Communion and full music and choirs.

Assisting Ministers, Communion Assistants, Acolytes, Crucifers, Book Bearers, Banner Bearers, Ushers and Choirs all serve to help the worship at Trinity to be meaningful and beautiful.

Opportunities abound for those interested in becoming an integral part of leading worship. If you are interested in serving in any of these positions you may speak with one of the pastors or send an e-mail to Pator Nachtigal at sknachtigal@trinityworc.org.

The Ministry of Commissions

Commissions: These are committees of the parish that lead and engage others in the ongoing ministry of Trinity.

The Congregation Council is always active in gathering names of individuals who feel called to serve on one of the Commissions of Trinity Church:

Commission terms generally run for three years and include monthly planning meetings scheduled at a time mutually agreed upon by the members of each Commission. Briefly stated, responsibilities of each Commission are:

The Learning Commission structures educational opportunities for all ages and encourages congregational participation.

The Youth Commission engages young people in every aspect of the church’s life and provides an organizational structure for the youth of the parish.

The Property Commission manages the routine care and maintenance of Trinity buildings and grounds and coordinates special property related projects.

The Finance Commission develops the annual budget, monitors monthly financial reports and oversees the congregation’s investments.

The Nurturing Commission provides for community building occasions within the parish, welcomes visitors and integrates new members into the parish community.

The Serving Commission researches, encourages and facilitates occasions for Christian service by members of the parish.

The Worship Commission encourages and facilitates worship and music in the life of the parish both at Trinity and in the home.

The Stewardship Commission encourages and educates the parish toward growth in faithful stewardship.
